Change Design animation
For the Change Design symposium held at Bath Spa University on Friday 18th February some animations were needed to put on between each lecture. I was asked to animate the designs created for the identity which was designed by Keith Hancox and Emily-Jane Wartalski. The design for the identity was a ring made up of coloured segments which represented different lectures during the day. The ring was also split down the middle to create the ‘C’ and ‘D’ of ‘Change Design’. The obvious solution was to make each coloured segment spin independently in both clockwise and counter-clockwise directions. I also used the burn effect which was used in the main design, which overall created a very interesting and colourful animation. These animations were used to introduce the guest speakers.

I also created an animation that showcased what was happening throughout the day. The 25 minute animation cut away at the segments and displayed information about each lecture as it cut away at the appropriate area.I also made a real time conceptual piece that played for the whole day showing what was happening at that exact time. It was basically a slower version than the 25 minute version.
