After buying the book 'Tactile' I got inspired and wanted to get making something! I made a ghetto blaster skin in illustrator and then printed it out to make a cardboard 3D ghettoblaster. Then I cut out shapes in CYMK colours and thread string through them, attaching these to the ghettoblaster speakers these coloured shapes are supposed to represent music (crazy!).
Due to lack of studio space as I am no longer at uni I made a small installation in the spare bedroom and took lots of photographs. Putting it back onto the computer I attached the Stones lyrics "She comes in colours everywhere, She combs her hair, She's like a rainbow" in a made up font which seemed appropriate to the style. The piece basically doesn't have any meaning and isn't supposed to be anything, just an experiment trying to create something that hasn't solely been made on the computer.
