The title of our first briefof year 3 was Provoke Change which encouraged to engage, improve, think again, act. "As communicators/designers, if you could change anything, what would it be...This is your final year, work instinctively, provoke change in yourself. Make it, record it, display it".
I worked collaboratively with Alastair Harlow on this brief to create the ‘Pick One Thing Campaign’ a campaign to remind people to be more environmentally friendly. We thought people had a basic knowledge of what could be done to help out, it was just a case of remembering to do so. We went about creating stickers that could be placed on items to remind you to be more environmentally friendly. For example putting a sticker on a mobile phone charger would remind you to unplug it when not in use.
An almost 100% recycled and recyclable pack was created that could be sent out to people, it included 3 sticker sets, 2 postcards and a badge. The campaign also used posters and a web site to spread its message. The idea of the campaign was to remind people not to dictate.
