A brief set by Mervyn Kurlansky for Sappi, a leading paper manufacturer, who needed 5 illustrations including 1 front cover along the following ideas:
-Front cover: A call to action
-Sustainable living
-Elderly being neglected and abused
-Human rights
-Children not getting the correct education
I worked in a vector style that used patterns and simple illustrations to illustrate the ideas. Each image uses grey, white and no more than 4 tones of one other colour to keep the simple feel to them and has recurring imagery to retain consistency between them. I wanted the colours to represent the theme, obviously green represents sustainability but also to be bright, bold and happy.
